Divorce usually means the end of a marriage, after which you either go your separate ways, or maybe keep an amicable relationship because of shared commitments like children.
But one woman has proved that divorce doesn't have to mean the end, after reuniting with her ex husband Anthony and going on to have two more children with him.
Mum-of-five Amy, or Ames, from the US, took to her TikTok account to share her incredible love story, which involved a £65,000 divorce settlement, followed by a huge change of heart.
In a recent video on the social media platform, Ames shared: "I never could've imagined while going through a high conflict divorce, that four years later we'd be remarried, with two more babies, watching him play soccer with our five sons while I make us dinner [sic]".
Ames and her husband met in 2009 when she was going into her junior year at college, while he had just graduated high school.
They quickly fell pregnant and "had some tough and grown up choices to make real fast," according to a video on Ames' TikTok page.
They "rushed into getting married", and her partner eventually left to join the military while Ames was pregnant.
After their son was born they eventually moved together from Florida to Georgia, and in 2011 they had another child.
However, when her husband was deployed to Afghanistan, she moved back home to Florida, which caused a huge rift between them.
Ames explained: "The time apart put a huge strain on our marriage and we deiced to divorce and at first it was not amicable in the least".
The mum also shared that she spent $80k (£65k) on the divorce.
After going their separate ways Ames met someone new and had another child, but according to her the relationship was "toxic from the start" and "after a couple of years I decided it was time to leave".
At this point she and Anthony remained friends and talked daily, and four years after divorcing they decided to get back together.
Ames shared that their children were a major factor in the couple getting back together.
In a previous post, Ames explained: "I hope our kids know that even though our first marriage didn't work out how we expected, they're the reason we fought like hell to make sure the second time around would be the forever kind of love they'll tell their own kids about some day."
It seems the family are now happier than ever, with Ames regularly sharing snippets from their lives.
