'I spent €500k to look like Kim Kardashian but it was a big mistake that cost me a fortune'

A Brazilian woman has revealed she has spent nearly €500,000 to look like her celebrity idol.

The model born in Sao Paulo, has declared: “It was a huge mistake that cost me a fortune.”

Plastic Surgery has become very common, with many people around the world wanting to change their facial features or their body.

But Jennifer had gone the extra mile to become like her idol, reality star and businesswoman Kim Kardashian.

Jennifer Pamplona, 29, spent seven years having cosmetic surgery and regular fillers to achieve it.

The model and actress has over one million Instagram followers.

Beginning her cosmetic procedures

Model Jennifer began getting plastic surgery when she was 17 by getting a breast augmentation, which led to her developing an addiction to undergo surgeries to look like Kim Kardashian.

She has worked with big brands like Versace, and said the transformation enabled her to sustain her lavish lifestyle in Dubai.

Speaking on working as a Kim look alike thanks to her changed look, she said: "I never intended to look like a Kardashian and I didn't want to, but when people made this comparison, I took the opportunity and made it a big deal. It brought me fame and money."

Jennifer told The Sun: "I was going through so many different surgeries to have the signature Kardashian style.”

But she stated she began developing second thoughts on the surgeries, and wanted to be recognised for her true self.

"I was happy having this Kardashian-style look, it made me money and I enjoyed life. I was happy, but now, I just want to be recognised as who I really am.”

She made the decision to go back under the knife and forked out €118,000 to have some of her surgeries reversed.

A love-hate relationship

After some time, Jennifer developed a love-hate relationship with her image, and would look in the mirror and began getting annoyed with people referring to her as a Kardashian.

She told the Sun: "I would look in the mirror and people would call me a Kardashian and then it started to get annoying. I had worked and studied and I became a business woman.

"I had done all these things and all these achievements in my personal life, but all I was doing was being recognised for looking like a Kardashian."

She adds: "I don’t want to be a shadow of someone else, I want to be my own person.”

Jennifer formerly modelled for Versace and discovered a surgeon in Istanbul who was happy to completely transform her face, which began with changing her veneer type.

In an attempt to stop looking like Kim, Jennifer had an all in one operation, and had a face and neck lift, buccal fat removal, a lip lift, cat eye surgery, and a nose job.

Jennifer told The Sun that she went into the operating room as herself and was absolutely shocked that she came out as another.

She said: "From all of the surgeries I have had, this one has been the most difficult. I went into the operation room as one person and I came out as another.

"The first time I saw myself I thought, 'Wow, is this really me?'. I had to deal with the new me, as this was the choice I made, it is what I asked for.

But she said the after effects of the surgery "weren't good at all", as her left eye wouldn’t close following cat eye surgery and she feared she would go blind.

Despite going under the knife regularly, Jennifer shared that during her latest surgery she suffered the most while recovering.

"Although, the after effects of the surgery weren't good at all. This isn’t the first time I have been in this situation, but this time I suffered the worst.

Surgery became a nightmare

In her interview, Jennifer said: "My left eye wouldn’t close from the cat eye surgery and I was panicking, I thought I was going blind. My surgery became a nightmare and it's as if they hit a nerve."

She continued: "I couldn’t even move my face, I know it was a huge procedure, but it is put on social media like a normal surgery. It's taken me seven years to understand different procedures and I have the knowledge to know the risks."

Jennifer is now working on a documentary called 'Addiction', which is highlighting the real issue of plastic surgery, and believes it will leave viewers horrified.

The Kim lookalike turned business woman says she got caught up in a cycle of believing more surgery meant an endless stream of money and fame, leading her to losing control of her life and image.

She said: "I discovered that I was addicted to surgery and I wasn’t happy, I was putting filler in my face like I was in the supermarket, but this can happen with teenagers now. It is crazy and it needs to change."

The 29 year old reckons that her body dysmorphia led to her addiction to surgery, and she suffered from a lot of bleeding.

Jennifer said: "I started bleeding a lot from my cheeks and it continued for three days. I was so scared I would get sepsis.

"But the best feeling was knowing I wasn’t in a fight with myself anymore, I was now who I wanted to be and I really now understand the meaning of life.

The dark side of cosmetic surgery

The surgery was a turning point for the model, who realised the dark side to cosmetic surgery and revealed she wanted to help people, and inspire them.

She said: "This surgery has been a very difficult moment in my life, I don’t want people to think my life is a joke. I want to help people and inspire them. I have a teen cousin and she is following my steps with modelling and acting.

She said she carries "a lot of responsibility" in being a role model for both her family and her fans, and she'll now continue to speak honestly about her experiences to show people the good and the bad times.

"Those people who look up to me, they need to know that there is a dark side to life. I carry a lot of responsibility, especially for my family and my fans.

"I will continue to be honest and show the good and the bad. I don't filter anything. I am honest and I feel like I can help a lot of people with my life story, but my face is beautiful and now I look even more beautiful."
