Valencia's goalkeeper has spoken publicly about being linked with Manchester United this transfer window.
Giorgi Mamardashvili has been linked with United for over a month and has now had his say on the rumours. With Dean Henderson having joined Nottingham Forest on loan this season, the 21-year-old is rumoured to be one of the viable candidates to replace the English 'keeper.
Mamardashvili is believed to be valued at £9m and kept ten clean sheets in 23 games across all competitions for Valencia last season - 18 appearances coming in La Liga. He is highly-rated by those who have seen him play as he made Marca's 2021/22 'Discovery Team of the Season' thanks to his break-out performances for the Spanish team.
Sport Witness now carry a report from Spain where the Georgian keeper has spoken out about the possibility of joining Erik ten Hag's side ahead of the September 1 transfer deadline.

Mamardashvili said: “I have a 2+1 [year] contract with Valencia and I’m happy. I really like Valencia as a city, I like the people."
The Valencia man was then specifically asked about the rumours linking him with United and couldn't hide the fact that he knew about the transfer links.
He said: "I see it but now the first thing is Valencia. Then we’ll see.
“It is very important for me to be happy and I am happy, I like the team, I like the city."
