Getting a parcel in the mail you've not expecting, especially from a loved one, can be incredibly exciting – especially when it's from someone who has been dead for almost two years.
TikToker Jen Hamilton was incredibly shocked when a package turned up from her house from her late grandmother. The bundle contained a photograph of her grandmother and grandfather, who had also passed away.
Mysteriously, there was also a money order, similar to a cheque, for $250 (£206), which was dated November 14. The parcel was sent on November 16 – but these were the only clues and there was no other explanation.
With a shocked expression, the nurse explained that there was "no letter, no context, no nothing," but that her grandmother's stationary sticker was on the front of the parcel, containing the address she had when she was alive.
Jen added: "I feel like I'm having a weird reaction to this because I don't know what to think right now."
Thousands of people took to the comments to share theories about what could have happened, from believing it could be an estate settlement to the bank sending out packages from her will.
But luckily, Jen later found exactly what had happened, and explained it in a follow-up video.
The mum-of-two revealed that her sister and cousin also got "identical packages with the exact same things inside, also missing context," adding further to the mystery.
Jen's mum had no clue about the contents of the package, but she did recognise the handwriting.
She how her sister had reached out to her cousin, and found out that her aunts and uncles had sold her grandmother's car.
"We didn't know. We weren't expecting any proceeds from that at all, but they split it 18 different ways. That's very kind and very sweet and it was very nice to see grandma's face again.
"During this holiday season I am very excited to use that money in a way that grandma would have waned me to. Thanks Gramps."
Jen's viewers were just as shocked as she was, with one person saying: "Oh that was nice. Glad that it was all figured out."
Another added: "Love this so much".
And a third said: "That's so sweet."
