I spend a lot of time scrolling through Aldi Finds, and I will always shout if I find something that's actually a great buy. But part of me really wants to gatekeep this find because it's the nicest thing I have seen on Aldi so far this summer, and I know it's going to sell out so fast.
It's a hammock chair, which Aldi has done a few of so far this summer, and they have flown off the shelves, but from a style perspective, they have always had a slightly practical, camping vibe to them. However, this new launch is very aesthetic and nails the biggest summer trend for retro stripes. There's also a cream offering for the neutral lovers, and my second favorite, a really rich terracotta shade too.
And as well as being super stylish, they are just $19.99! Which, even for Aldi, seems incredibly cheap.
$19.99!! It looks so much more expensive with the lovely details like the wooden arms and the buttons on the removable pillow. This is my favorite of the three designs because it nails a summer trend I am obsessed with – stripes. A broad stripe outdoors reminds me of luxury European beach resorts. This is on its way to me already.
The color says 'orange', but I am going with more muted, terracotta. It's such an expensive-looking shade, and one I never really see with more afforable outdoor furniture. I can imagine this working in a more modern backyard, bringing a relaxed Cali-esque feel.
Add one for the neutral lovers, the beige colorway would work with any style, and you could throw a patterned outdoor cushion on it for extra comfort. All of these hammock chairs also come with a carry bag, so they are easily portable too.
We all know that Aldi Finds don't hang around for long (excuse the pun), so if the hammock chairs are already out of stock online, not available in your area, or you don't have a local Aldi to pop down to, these alternatives have been on my wish list since the start of summer. All still chic and reasonably priced.
Slightly more structured than the Aldi offering, this would be perfect for creating a relaxed boho-style patio or porch.
If it's the stripes you want, this is a lovely alternative to the Aldi Find. It has a more relaxed look, which I love, and it would give any backyard a coastal feel. It's also got a huge 50% off right now too, so only a few dollars more than the Aldi hammock.
I love the little pocket within this one to store a book, because are hammock chairs not the perfect spot to spend an afternoon reading? This chair can also take double the weight of the Aldi chair, as it's hung by a chain rather than rope (the Aldi one has a 250 lbs weight capacity, and this one has 500 lbs).
A hammock chair just became an essential piece of outdoor furniture for the summer – the perfect piece to create a relaxing spot within your patio. It's also a really affordable buy too, even if you miss that $19.99 bargain at Aldi, Wayfair, Walmart, and Target all offer hammock chairs for just over that price point.
