A dog lover has left people in stitches after showing off the tiny paddling pool she purchased for her pet - but it wasn't what she thought she'd ordered.
The unimpressed shopper thought she was ordering a pool suitable for her large dog, according to her post on TikTok.
But the pet owner, who shared the video online as @magzmcdermid1, was in for a rude awakening when the product arrived.
To her shock, the pool did not look like the photo of the product she was expecting, and in what was likely the worst surprise of all, it appeared to be unusable for her furry friend.
While the £4.75 purchased was billed as a pet swimming pool, the product she received would barely contain one of her pooch's paws.
The tub, if it can be called that, fit easily on top of her bed, as shown in the second photo included in the clip. According to commenters it would be better suited to a mouse.
Shein's UK website lists several pet swimming pools available in different sizes, and it seems as though the dog owner ordered the wrong size without realising - but she's yet to clarify.
While the products' measurements are provided, one listing for a 3.9 inch high pool is accompanied by a photo of a much larger dog enjoyed a splash - perhaps leading to the confusion.
Revealing her shopping fail, the customer's hilarious video - captioned "What I wanted vs what I got!" - amassed thousands of likes. It also drew several comments from customers keen to share their own shopping experiences with unspecified retailers.
One said: "I got that but proper size." "I have the pool on the pic," added a second. But someone else revealed: "Exact same thing happened to me! It's a pool for a mouse!"
Meanwhile, another commenter joked: "Swimming pool for hamsters." A different responder claimed: "Nah [because] a hamster wouldn't even be able to walk in that."
Elsewhere, a mum with a similar problem was left mortified after the bargain purchase she made from a different retailer ended up in disaster.
Samantha Ward was delighted when she found a £5 paddling pool during a trip to the shops, but she didn't think to read the measurements included under the description - suggesting the kid's pool is "great for a little splash."
As she learned the hard way, the pool was barely big enough to use as a makeshift foot spa. Explaining her mistake, the parent said: "Silly me for not checking any measurements, but it just looks like a paddling pool and it says 'kid's paddling pool' so you assume that kids can go in it."
