'I'm so gutted' - Geordie Shore's Joel Corry unable to play LooseFest set in Newcastle due to 'technical issue'

Joel Corry has apologised to fans after he was unable to play a DJ set at LooseFest.

The North East's 'biggest music festival' was set to kick off its Town Moor debut at 12pm, with Corry one of the early big names ahead of tonight's headliners Clean Bandit and the Black Eyed Peas. However, a 'technical issue' prevented the former Geordie Shore star and 'Sorry' DJ from playing his set, which had been scheduled for 1pm.

In a post on Twitter, Joel wrote: "Hey guys I’m so gutted I was unable to play LooseFest Newcastle today. I was on site & ready to start my set at 1PM.

"Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of my control the venue was unable to open in time for my set. I look forward to being back in the Toon soon - Joel."

A spokesperson for LooseFest said: "It was a technical issue on stage that meant it was delayed. LooseFest are unbelievably sorry but they had no choice and are looking at Joel coming back and doing something really special for LooseFest in the North East.
