Manchester City supporters are shocked to the core after Real Madrid staged the most unlikely comeback in their Champions League showdown at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night. City had one foot in the Paris showpiece after Riyad Mahrez scored.
However, that proved to be a minor event as the newly-crowned Spanish champions hit back from 5-3 down on aggregate to score twice in added time. Karim Benzema then scored in extra-time to send Madrid through to the final.
Despite putting on a goal frenzy at the Etihad Stadium their last-four opener, this was a much tighter meeting. In the end, though, it was Madrid who booked their flight to the French capital for what will be an occasion to remember against Premier League title challengers Liverpool.
