'I'm not scared' - Kylian Mbappe sends transfer hint to Liverpool as PSG update shared

Kylian Mbappe has reaffirmed his commitment to Paris Saint-Germain as speculation around the Frenchman's future continues.

The 23-year-old forward signed a new three-year deal with his current employers during the summer, despite at one point looked certain to seal a transfer to Real Madrid. Liverpool are another team to have been linked with Mbappe over the last two years, with the player himself openly expressing his admiration for the Reds.

Reports emerged last month claiming the attacker would look to leave PSG in January after becoming disillusioned with his situation at the club, which Mbappe later dismissed when pressed for comment on the matter.

Mbappe will have hopes of winning the Champions League this season as he looks to add to his list of trophies won within the game and believes he can continue to compete for the biggest prizes by remaining at his club.

“You can stay here [PSG] to have success," he told Sports Illustrated. "For us it’s a big message, because when I announced I stay, a lot of things change in the mentality of people. People start to say, ‘Yeah, we don’t need to go out. You don’t need to leave the country.’

Explaining why he turned down the opportunity to sign for Real Madrid, Mbappe added: “I’m not scared. I’m ready. I always talk about my ambition, what I want to do, and now it’s time. In Paris, the book is fully white. What an opportunity! You have to think differently. Of course, it was easier to go to Madrid. But I have this ambition. I’m French. I’m a child of Paris, and to win in Paris, it’s something really special—really special. It writes your name in the history of your country for life.”
