I'm good to go: Sead Haksabanovic reveals he's ready to face Rangers as he prepares to make Celtic debut

New Celtic signing Sead Haksabanovic at Parkhead yesterday

CELTIC new boy Sead Haksabanovic has declared he is available for selection for the cinch Premiership match against Rangers on Saturday.

The Montenegrin winger, who signed a five year deal with the Scottish champions last week, has not played since back in May when he was on loan at Djurgardens in Sweden.

However, the 23-year-old could make his first team debut in the Premier Sports Cup tie against Ross County in Dingwall tomorrow evening.

And Haksabanovic is eager to be involved in the world-famous fixture against Rangers at Parkhead this weekend and help Celtic to win and move five points clear of their city rivals in the league.

“I’m good to go,” he said. “It’s up to the coach. It’s going to take time for me to adjust to the system and the players. We will see.

“I haven’t seen a full derby game, but I’ve seen videos of it and stuff and know to expect a great atmosphere. As a Celtic player now I’m only thinking about what we can do in the game.

“We are going to do everything to win. But we are trying to focus on every game. We’ve got Ross County and then we can look at the Rangers game.”

Haksabanovic added: “I have played in the Stockholm derby (between AIK and Djugardens). There were around 48,000 fans in the stands. It was good. In Sweden you have a lot of fans.

“But I don’t think it is the same as here. I would say the craziest atmosphere I have ever experienced was when I was on the bench for West Ham against Spurs for the London derby.

“But I am ready. Now it is just up to the manager about when he wants me to play. Yeah, I’m ready.”
