'I'm going to keep that going' - Alison Hammond addresses Dermot O'Leary feud talk

Alison Hammond has addressed rumours she and Dermot O'Leary have an off-screen feud.

The former Big Brother star fronts This Morning with co-host Dermot, with the pair regularly taking the helm for half-term breaks, holidays, and Friday mornings when regular hosts Holly and Phil are not around. Throughout their time together some viewers have speculated that neither host actually likes the other, and some believe there has been a long-running feud off-screen.

Some viewers feel they have noticed awkward exchanges between the hosts, but now Alison has said she "loves" her fellow presenter.

Speaking to GKBarry on the Saving Grace podcast, Alison said there wasn't an ounce of truth in the rumours but she enjoys fuelling the fire. She said: "I can’t tell you how wrong they actually are.

"I love the fact that people think that. I’m going to keep that going. I'll go ‘Babes, people think we hate each other, let’s do a couple of things on the telly like stand further apart. Like we’re still distancing'!"

She added: "But seriously I love the fact people think we’ve got beef, it’s hilarious. Honestly, I can’t tell you how much I love that man, he’s so funny."

Though the presenters have sometimes had frosty exchanges, they have also been there for one another during the show's more emotional conversations. The pair offered each other a shoulder to cry on not long ago when Dermot spoke candidly about cancer and Alison broke down while tackling a topic around obesity.
