England international George Kruis took the unconventional route of requesting to end his live post-match TV interview — but for very good reason.
The 32-year-old former England second-row signed off his professional career at Twickenham on Sunday by helping the Barbarians to a record win over Eddie Jones' side, beating their hosts 52-21 despite a first-half red card for Australian Will Skelton.
He put in a performance to be proud of, even having the audacity to back-heel over a conversion before returning to hit his third after the eighth try was scored as his team-mates surrounded slow-clapped his kick.

While conducting his obligatory post-match TV interview with Amazon Prime Video, Kruis politely informed the media team that he would like to go and celebrate with his Baa-baas team-mates having answered several questions.
"This is what Baa-baas is about, spending a bit of time with a different culture and different people and we got a good result in the end. I'm very grateful to be a part of it."
Asked about the back-heel conversion in particular, Kruis acknowledged the question before replying: "I'm going to be really rude and I'd love to celebrate with the team if that's alright."
The Amazon pitchside team then swiftly gave him a bottle of Champagne to mark his man of the match award, before congratulating him on a wonderful career.
