I spend more time scrolling Amazon than I'd care to admit ... but I am a shopping editor, after all; it's my job to hunt for the most stylish pieces, best deals, and greatest viral buys Jeff Bezos has to offer. It might take a bit of digging, but the home decor and furniture offered on Amazon has just as much pizazz, style, and flair as any other retailer — and it's especially sweet if you can buy it at a markdown.
Thankfully, there is one time a year when that is particularly easy to do: the biggest and all-encompassing Amazon sale of the year: Amazon Prime Day. From July 16 to July 17 (a.k.a. right now), Prime members can expect showstopping deals on everything from electronics to furniture to smart home products ... think of it as Black Friday, but 5 months early. If you're a fan of discounts on some of the best home decor brands, open your computer and get to it.
To help expedite your shopping during this monumental event, I found down 12 chic (but also well-reviewed) pieces of home decor I'm eyeing in the Prime Day sales, which is now underway. Every item on this list was marked down, so I'd act fast if I were you — you don't know how long these beautiful pieces will stay in stock, especially this week.

This scalloped marble tray has an old school, traditional vibe I just can't quit. Part coastal chic, part amalficore, part quiet luxury. Plus, it's made of 100% natural Calacatta Viola marble, which will last much longer than a cheaper plastic or resin imitation.
You could style this versatile piece with a vase of flowers on your kitchen island, or use it as a home for your skincare products in your bathroom. You could even place it on your mantle with a few decorative accents, perhaps playing with those of different materials for a cross-texture look and feel.
Price: $15.19, Was: $29.99
These beaded martini and margarita coasters are kitsch done right — the easiest way to add personality to your tablescape without overdoing it. I'd love to see them styled against a blue-stripe tablecloth for a true coastal look.
Price: $18.98, Was: $42.99

I struggle to convey my love of pedestal bowls without using the word "obsessed" — but I think this white stoneware vessel is worthy of such language. It's the #1 best seller in Amazon's decorative bowls section, and boasts a HUGE markdown for Prime Day. More than 600 were purchased in the last month alone.
It's simple, it's minimalist, it's organically shaped, and would go with everything. A really chic piece!
Price: $96.75, Was: $129
By now, I'm sure you've heard of Anthropologie's Primrose Mirror, the vintage-esque looking glass with ornate detailing. But it can be quite hard to track down given its internet fame.
This Amazon option is equally as well-reviewed but half the price, and available with free shipping for Prime members. It packs that same antique punch for less.
Price: $39.99, Was: $47.99
Its fluted and ruffled look reminiscent of a stylish coffee filter (although much, much sturdier), this concrete decorative bowl is Amazon home decor at its very best. These are the pieces we hunt for!
In case you were worried, this beautifully-priced vessel has a 4.8/5 star rating from customers, who have described it as lightweight and well made.
Price: $16.98, Was: $19.99

They say good things come in twos ... and such is the case with most Amazon vases. Case in point: these abstract minimalist pieces from CEMABT, a brand I admittedly have never heard of but that seems to have a good line of stuff; I mean, this set boasts a fabulous 4.8 out of 5 stars.
I love the fluid forms and mismatched pairing, which you can keep together or style on opposite sides of the room. Would look excellent on a bookshelf, side table, or hutch.
Price: $19.99, Was: $27.99

If you're channeling a Nancy Meyers aesthetic this summer, you'll need this seagrass tray — the epitome of coastal interior design. With all the charm of Serena & Lily but at half the price, this timeless piece is perfect for beach homes, lake houses, or even metropolitan living rooms in need of a seaside touch.
Toss it on an ottoman as a home for the remote or leave it in the bathroom as a catch-all tray. That is, of course, if you're not using it to serve up a cocktail or two (my preferred choice).
Price: $103.19, Was: $130.99
I previously dubbed this boho pendant light one of the best Amazon lighting buys; months later, I stand by that decision. I'll add the disclaimer that I've ever actually used it — but from a style perspective, it has my heart, thanks in large part to its flower-like lampshade and woven look.
Luckily, customer reviews seem to support my original thesis — this is a piece worth trying.
Price: $146.03, Was: $689

Size: 7'6" x 9'6"
When it comes to affordable rugs, very few brands do it like Loloi. Quality production, varied, timeless designs, exciting collaborations (Rifle Paper Co., pictured above, or Brigette Romanek, for example), and excellent prices — really, what more could you ask for?
I'm drawn to this Terracotta/Sky-colored print for its versatility — its primary orange color and muted blue/beige accents should match with most — but also its warm, somewhat diverse color palette that nonetheless stands out. And of course, the discount right now is not to be missed.
Price: $17.56, Was: $21.95
Discount: 20%
Size: 84" L
I've decided I want loose linen curtains for my living room; none of these standard white blinds. It's a simple upgrade that, in my mind, makes all the difference. I think I'll start with this sheer linen drapes, now priced at $18, whose quality appears to belie its affordable price tag (according to the customer reviews).
They are also machine washable in the event of dirt and grime.
Price: $11.99, Was: $14.99
If you want to elevate a dinner party in seconds, look no further than candle holders. Filled with taper candles, they add an elegant and traditional vibe to your tablescape — and what more could you ask for during a summer dinner party?
This lovely green set reminds me of a similar option from H&M Home in both look and price ... but the upside is you get three for the price of one.
Price: $18.99, Was: $24
Discount: 21%
Livingetc editor Hugh Metcalf actually turned me on to this modern marble canister, now just $19 in the Amazon sale. It looks much more chic than your average Amazon buy, as though it was purchased from a local artisan or boutique. You can purchase just this one, to use as maybe a kitchen utensil holder or salt cellar, or buy the accompanying canisters, as well. You can't go wrong either way.
When is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon's 2024 Prime Day will run from July 16 to July 17. We don't have the dates for next year just yet, but the event typically happens around the same time each year.
Do you need to be a Prime member to participate in Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day markdowns are only available for Amazon Prime members. If you haven't yet joined, we'd recommend setting up your membership (or 30-day free trial) before Prime Day, so you can iron out any kinks.
Does Amazon have other sales?
A separate sales event known as Amazon Big Deal Days will happen sometime in the fall. Think of it as a second Prime Day that's smaller in scale. Outside of that, the retailer should offer a robust selection of markdowns around Black Friday and Christmas.
