The Englishman joined the MLS outfit at the end of March after five months without a club.
Kent was released by Turkish giants Fenerbahce, managed by Jose Mourinho, near the end of 2024, just 16 months after signing a four-year deal.

He penned a short-term contract with Seattle and made his bow over the weekend, coming on for the closing stages of his team's 3-0 win over Nashville.
It was Kent's first competitive appearance in almost a year, with his last coming for Fenerbahce in a Champions League qualifier against Lugano in July last year.
The 28-year-old spent half a decade at Ibrox, scoring 33 goals and assisting 56 across 218 appearances in all competitions.
Kent helped Rangers to their 55th Scottish Premiership title under Steven Gerrard, but departed for free in 2023 upon the expiration of his contract.
"I've turned down a lot of teams [but] ultimately, Seattle was the team for me," said the attacker after his recent transfer [Seattle Sounders FC on YouTube].
"There's a host of factors… I think more than anything, just the sort of honesty from the people I was speaking to and they're really passionate about what they do.
"They have a good relationship with the players, [and] just from spending a short time here, in the dressing room, that’s a great bunch of guys."
