Zara Tindall was reunited with her husband Mike on Saturday's edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! The former England rugby player, 44, missed out on a place in Sunday’s finale to former health secretary Matt Hancock, 44, ex-footballer Jill Scott and actor Owen Warner, who will vie to be crowned the winner of the ITV reality show.
After leaving the celebrity camp, Tindall was greeted by his wife, the Princess Royal’s daughter Zara Tindall. There was speculation as to whether Zara would meet the Rugby World Cup winner in the jungle but those questions were answered as the couple embraced before the credits rolled.
It had been thought that due to her royal status and young family, Princess Anne's daughter wouldn't be able to make it to the final bridge, GloucestershireLive reported. But Mike's face lit up after the show's hosts Ant and Dec told him that "Zara was waiting".
The couple jumped into each other's arms after three weeks of separation. The dad-of-three's Twitter account shared a sweet picture of the pair with the simple yet beautiful word, "reunited", alongside two love heart emojis.
Being interviewed about his exit, Mike told Ant and Dec: “I’m pretty comfortable with it. It’s been an amazing journey.
"I think we’ve been very lucky with everyone that’s been in there and how the camp has worked together. Being in a team for long period of my life, I didn’t expect it to work as well as it did.”
Earlier in Saturday evening’s episode, Mike had shared his thoughts on Hancock’s position in the competition, saying: “Matt clearly wants to win.” Speaking in the Bush Telegraph Tindall said: “Matt’s making sure his T-shirt and his phone numbers are on display at all times. Matt clearly wants to win.
“I’m taking great pleasure in turning it around every time he leaves camp. Once a politician, always a politician. Always polling for votes.”
