I'm A Celebrity viewers 'work out winner' days in - but it's 'not Mike or Jill'

I'm A Celebrity viewers are convinced they know who will win the ITV series this year, with many changing their initial prediction.

Former rugby star Mike Tindall and former England footballer Jill Scott both topped the list of who fans believed would go on to win the jungle show earlier this week.

But during Tuesday's episode, fans were left changing their minds – with another name now favourite to take the crown.

As hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly returned for the latest episode, viewers saw what the group had been up to in the last 24 hours.

One person who took centre stage was Babatúndé Aléshé, who had been chosen to do the next trial.

Knowing his fear of heights, after he backed out of his first challenge on Sunday night, fans decided to set him up – given the latest trial meant he had to be up high.

But despite his phobia, Babatúndé smashed it and not only completed the trial, but also managed to bag all nine stars for camp.

The change in the contestant surprised fans, with many convinced he could go on to win the series after proving himself.

Taking to Twitter, viewers shared their predictions that Babatúndé would be this year’s winner.

One viewer said: "Babatunde for the win already! Not only did he conquer his fear he is clearly a genuine and sweet guy. When he was beaming with pride at the end it made my heart melt!!!! Well done dude!"

Another fan tweeted: "Babatunde is so nice what a sound lad even apologising for being slow. Hope this man wins."

A third fan added: "Babatunde to win for sure, he’s bloody adorable," as a fourth said: "Babatunde for the win after that."

Meanwhile a fifth viewer said: "Babatunde to win! He conquered his fear today."

It follows the sudden exit of Olivia Attwood, who was forced to withdraw from the ITV series this week.

Olivia was forced to withdraw on medical grounds and despite wanting to return, she has not been allowed to by medics.

A show spokesperson told The Mirror: "As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo medical checks.

"Unfortunately, the medical team has advised that it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation.

"She has been absolutely brilliant and she'll be very much missed on the show."

Olivia made history as the very first Love Island star on the show, so her incredibly early exit from the show is likely to leave many fans gutted.

A spokesperson on behalf Olivia posted a statement on her Instagram story after her departure, which began with: "To say Olivia it heartbroken would be an understatement."

It added: "She dreamed of doing 'I'm A Celeb' for years and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would)."

"However, for reasons beyond her control her journey has been cut short," the statement explained. "Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as it always has.

"You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course and she will be back on your screens in the New Year. Ps. Who's going to roast Matt Hancock now?!"

I'm A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
