I'm A Celebrity viewers question snub as Jill Scott is crowned 2022 winner

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2022 came to an end for another series on Sunday, November 27. The show saw Jill Scott crowned the winner with Hollyoaks star Owen Warner taking second place and former health secretary Matt Hancock coming in third.

Usually, the show's previous King or Queen returns to hand over the famous crown, but the former Emmerdale actor was nowhere to be seen. Danny won the show in 2021 and became the first King of the Castle after the show took place in Gwrych Castle in Wales.

Commenting on his absence, one social media user wrote: "Errrrrrrrr where is Danny?" While another asked: "Why didn’t Danny Miller crown Jill?"

Instead, Mike Tindall, who placed fourth in the competition and is a member of the Royal Family, crowned Jill. The former rugby player gave the sports star a ginormous hug as the room filled with applause and cheer.

And while he wasn't there in person, Danny later took to Instagram to congratulate Jill himself. He wrote: "Congratulations @jillscottjs8! What a worthy winner. You had the votes in our household." For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
