I'm a Celebrity viewers in hysterics at Owen Warner's pronunciation of salamander

The I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! jungle is home to many creepy crawlies and reptiles, some bigger than others. Tonight, the remaining celebs had a shock when a salamander wandered into camp.

Former health secretary and serving MP Matt Hancock was first to spot the huge reptile before the others clocked on. Hollyoaks star Owen Warner, who has been entertaining viewers with his sweet naivety and minimal general knowledge paired with some wise common sense every now and then, was shocked to see the animal and humorously kept mispronouncing the reptile's name.

Saying "sal-a-men-ander" rather than the correct pronunciation, Owen said: "We've seen this massive sal-a-men-ander, running through camp." repeating the incorrect pronunciation Owen explained the animals run on their back legs and said, "that is the best thing I've seen since being in Australia."

Many viewers noticed Owen's mistake. One said: "Salamanander… yeh owen that one" followed by two crying laughing faces and another said: "Salamalander? Yes Owen." followed by a laughing face.

A third said: "A what Owen" and: "Salamalander. Owen kills me". A fifth said: "SALAMALANDAR AHAHAHAHA Owen is the best.

Elsewhere former Lioness Jill Scott faced the Critty Critty Fang Fang trial, where she was suspended in the air and had to find stars in a fake car. She was joined by creepy crawlies and at the end, she was plummeted out of the car, after she had found all seven stars.

Boy George was the latest celebrity to leave the jungle, leaving fans shocked Matt has remained in the jungle for longer. After leaving the jungle he said: "I am sort of ready, I've had an amazing time, I've done lots of things I thought I would never do...I've never done anything like this." He added: "Being really honest I am happy to go today." and said that the jungle was "a lot tougher" than he thought.
