I'm A Celebrity viewers defend Helen Flanagan's appearance on show as she's branded 'evil'

Some I'm A Celebrity... South Africa viewers have jumped in to defend Helen Flanagan as he appearance on the programme came into question. The former Coronation Street star has been wowing fans of the hit ITV reality show since the brand-new spin-off started airing last week.

Fans of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here claimed Helen had been replaced by a 'different person' as they shared how they expected her to be the same as she was during her first stint in the jungle back in 2012. But in the new setting of Kruger National Park in the South African bush, the 32-year-old has shown a completely different side to herself.

And following the latest episode on Wednesday night (May 3), the actress, who played Rosie Webster in ITV's Corrie, was dubbed both a "strategic goddess" and "evil genius" as rivalry entered the camp when hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly revealed the campmates would be split into two teams.

The latest twist saw newcomers Joe Swash and Dean Gaffney put at the helm of each team and the former EastEnders duo had to pick who they wanted to join them in their 'pride'.

After Myleene Klass and Jordan Banjo won a picnic for their team, Helen was seen spending time in the waterfall in a bikini as she enjoyed the fruits of their labour, which included a fruit platter, fresh lemonade and some overstuffed sandwiches. But as they tucked into their well-deserved meals, Helen told the team lie to their rivals, and pretend the feast was underwhelming so they would be less motivated to fight for it in the next task.

And I'm A Celeb viewers were quick to comment on social media about Helen's sneaky move. @CHEEEKYsausage tweeted: "Helen Flanagan, evil genius? I'm ALL for it #ImACeleb." @fansvfavourites said: "Helen has constantly been in her strategic era. she’s giving winner icl #ImACeleb."

@mobrees joked: "Why is Helen walking around in her teeny weeny bikini when everybody else has all their clothes on . Isn’t she scared of some creepy crawly easily getting in #ImACeleb." @sarah_walia added: "Does Helen know that she’s not on Love Island and that she does not have walk around in a bikini all the time?? #ImACeleb."

However, @flyingcactus_ argued: "Why are people kicking off about Helen’s bikini? it’s 35 degrees, she’s blonde and pale, she’s roasting her tits off #ImACeleb." And @misscatxxxx said in her defence: "If I had Helen’s body I’d walk around in a bikini too. It’s South Africa be working on my tan #imaceleb."
