I'm A Celebrity viewers complain over 'unfair' trial – as some spot 'blunder'

I'm A Celebrity fans were quick to call out a decision during the latest Bushtucker Trial, after scenes on Tuesday night.

Babatúndé Aléshé was forced to face his fears, as he took on the latest challenge in a bid to win meals for camp.

The comedian had forfeited his first challenge on Sunday due to his fear of heights, and it requiring him to dangle off a ledge that was at the top of a 32-storey building.

So it's no wonder viewers decided to pick him for the latest task, that would again see Babatúndé up high.

In Horrifying Heights, Babatúndé was tasked with making his way around a circular platform that was 100ft in the air.

There were two different levels, and at the end he needed to dive off the edge – and he managed to do it all.

But he faced quite the challenge, as it was pouring with heavy rain during the entire trial – while fans did notice it seemed to stop just as the task ended.

Taking to Twitter, fans called out the decision to not give Babatúndé extra time to complete the challenge, given he only had 10 minutes.

With the heavy rain looking as bad as it did, viewers shared their thoughts that Babatúndé should have had extra time to do the task.

As Babatúndé got drenched in the downpour, and Ant and Dec stood under umbrellas, one fan said: "GIVE BABATUNDE MORE TIME THE RAIN."

Another tweeted: "Not gonna lie but they should’ve gave @BabatundeComedy an extra couple of minutes with it p***ing it down with rain."

A third viewer agreed: "Erm, it's pouring with rain. Extra time would have been nice!" as a fourth wrote: "Should of gave him more time unfair with the rain." [sic]

Another fan said: "Babatunde should 100% get more time for this rain, it’s so unfair."

Meanwhile, others were quick to notice the rain "conveniently" stopped as the trial ended, and none of the campmates back in the camp appeared affected by it.

One fan tweeted: "I think they faked on rain because it stopped the minute he jumped, and he arrived to camp soaking while everyone and everything was dry."

Another agreed: "The rain conveniently stopping when the trial finished," as a third added: "Isn’t it funny how the rain stopped as soon as he comes down."

It follows the sudden exit of Olivia Attwood, who was forced to withdraw from the ITV series this week.

Olivia was forced to withdraw on medical grounds and despite wanting to return, she has not been allowed to by medics.

A show spokesperson told The Mirror: "As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo medical checks.

"Unfortunately, the medical team has advised that it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation.

"She has been absolutely brilliant and she'll be very much missed on the show."

Olivia made history as the very first Love Island star on the show, so her incredibly early exit from the show is likely to leave many fans gutted.

A spokesperson on behalf Olivia posted a statement on her Instagram story after her departure, which began with: "To say Olivia it heartbroken would be an understatement."

It added: "She dreamed of doing 'I'm A Celeb' for years and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would)."

"However, for reasons beyond her control her journey has been cut short," the statement explained. "Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as it always has.

"You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course and she will be back on your screens in the New Year. Ps. Who's going to roast Matt Hancock now?!"

I'm A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
