I'm A Celebrity viewers complain just minutes into new 'weird' series set in South Africa

The brand new series of I'm A Celebrity...South Africa aired on Monday night which saw TV favourites Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly welcome a batch of familiar faces to the brand new series.

However, many ITV viewers weren't too sure of the new concept and pointed out a "weird" feature of the 'legend' series.

The All Star series was actually filmed last summer and is not live like the usual series is.

The original show I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! is usually on our screens in the weeks leading up to Christmas and fans are finding it difficult getting used to it being on screens in April.

Many took to social media to talk about it.

One tweeted: "This feels weird, it made me panic because had a sudden thought that I haven’t started my Christmas shopping #ImACeleb."

While another penned: "When you hear the #ImACeleb theme tune and you panic that you haven’t done your #Christmas shopping!"

Viewers were left confused (ITV)

And one commented: "Feels strange watching #ImACeleb without my Christmas tree up."

Another said: "Doesn’t quite feel the same seeing as it was recorded last September. #Imaceleb."

While one wrote: "Starting to panic now, I haven't bought any presents yet! IM SO CONFUSED #ImACeleb," someone else wrote.

Celtic WAG Helen Flanagan, Countdown's Carol Vorderman and former cricketer Phil Tufnell are just some of the big names taking part in a bid to be crowned the inaugural I’m A Celebrity ‘Legend’

Hosting duo Ant and Dec are of course returning to the helm as they welcome back some of viewers' favourite characters from the past 20 years.

I'm A Celebrity... South Africa continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
