I'm A Celebrity trailer sees Ant and Dec 'leap out' of helicopter in dramatic advert

Ant and Dec need to have a head for heights in the new I'm A Celebrity trailer as the Geordie hosts 'leap out' of a helicopter in dramatic scenes, thanks to some fantastic special effects.

The duo have been presenting the long-running ITV show since its first burst onto screens back in 2002, when the first series was won by DJ Tony Blackburn. Since then, jungle champions have included Kerry Katona, Phil Tufnell, Dougie Poynter and Vicky Pattison and soon there will be a new bunch of campmates, all hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year's winner, Emmerdale actor Danny Miller.

Names linked to the new series include music icon Boy George and ex Love Island star Olivia Attwood and anticipation for the latest run has now gone up a notch after the release of an official teaser. The advert sees Ant throwing suitcases out of a helicopter as Dec worryingly asks: "Where is the luggage going?" to which Ant replies: "It's meeting us there!"

Ant then leaves the copter and plummets to the ground, shouting: "Remember, wherever you go, I go!" as a piece of paper reading 'Ant and Dec: Always Together Contract' hits the opposite window. After exclaiming: "I wish I'd never signed that thing!" Dec reluctantly follows Ant out of the helicopter, before parachutes activate with the words 'We're Back' on them.

While an exact start date for I'm A Celebrity 's new series wasn't given, it has been confirmed that it will start in November, with the news coming after the show won Best Entertainment at this year's National Television Awards. Ant and Dec couldn't be there, after testing positive for Covid, with reigning champion Danny giving the acceptance speech.
