What time does I'm A Celeb start tonight? Major changes to TV schedule as Ant and Dec return

I'm a Celebrity South Africa will bring about huge changes to the ITV schedule when the programme returns tonight.

Bosses are also mixing up the rules and the show format for the 'all stars' version of the show, which kicks off this evening.

This means the News at 10 will be moved from its usual slot. It has been pushed back 30 minutes later and will hit screens at 10.30pm instead.

On Tuesday, the news will air at 10.15pm and then on Wednesday it will start at 10.05pm.

On Thursday it returns to the 10.15pm slot while on Friday it starts again at 10.05pm.

No contestant will be crowned king or queen of the jungle during I'm A Celebrity South Africa - in a major shake up to the show.

Instead, the winning celebrity will be named as the first ever show 'legend'.

In a new statement ITV said of the contestants: "With no public vote, they will be competing against each other in a battle to become the first ever 'I'm A Celebrity Legend'."

The change means the likes of Phil Tufnell, who was a winner and made king in 2003, won’t be able to regain his royal title.

There are also two former winners expected to arrive as latecomers in the form of Georgia Toffolo and Joe Swash, who will be hoping to win again.

A show source said: "There will still be a winner of the show but they won't be crowned in quite the same way. There is no public vote and also they have all competed before, so bosses decided they couldn't really be crowned king or queen. Instead one celeb will get legendary status."

Amir Khan has made his intentions clear saying that he went in to win the show after struggling in the Australian jungle.

He said: "I let myself down by saying 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in one of the Trials in Australia.

"I got scared last time and I want to go in again and come out as the main man – the champion. I am in this to win it."

The show will start tonight from a new camp based in the bush of South Africa instead of Australia. It was pre-recorded last year.

The first look photos of the site, on the edge of the Kruger National Park, show that celebs will enter through a tree lined walkway.

Once inside, it is clear that the area is rocky and dry compared to the lush green camp in Australia.

Celebrities including Myleene Klass and Carol Vorderman will be seen washing in a branch-lined shower in a creek area under cold water.

The celebs will once again rely on rice and beans for meals and have to win other food for camp.

There will be a lot of trials but also head-to-head ones to decide who leaves as there is no public vote because the show is pre-recorded.

*I’m A Celebrity…South Africa begins tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
