I'm A Celebrity... South Africa axed from TV schedules and replaced

I'm A Celebrity fans will have to wait two days for the next instalment of the All Stars show. The public is not voting for them this time, but celebrities are being booted out of the camp after failing trials.

However, viewers will not know who is next until after the weekend as the show will be replaced by the new series of Britain's Got Talent on Saturday, and by hospital drama Malpractice on Sunday.

The schedule shake-up comes as two campmates left on Friday night in a shock double eviction. Diet expert Gillian McKeith and Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder were the first two celebrities to leave this year’s show. Look at who is left here. The celebrities are facing each other in survival trials, where only the winner remains in camp - or having to pick amongst themselves who will go. The pair were evicted from the camp after coming last in the Savage Safari trial, which aired on Friday night. Despite clashing when they both appeared on the show in 2010, Shaun picked Gillian as his team mate for the task. Shaun shocked the other camp mates when he announced: “Who have I chosen to team up with? My old mucker – we worked so well together the other day – I’ve chosen Gillian.”

A shocked Gillian sat bolt upright and exclaimed: “Oh for God’s sake no! I don’t want to do it. I’ll be hopeless.” Former supermodel Janice Dickinson chimed in: “Oh my God. The old enemies!”

“Please don’t do this, I don’t want to go home,” Gillian begged Shaun, but he replied: “Well, you’re on the trial with me.”

Speaking to the camera before the trial, Gillian shared: “Being chosen by Shaun is a shock. I don’t know why he did it. He obviously hates me.” She added that his choice in getting her to do the trial with him was “passive aggression” from their past fallouts in 2010.

The unlikely duo teamed up for the task, but it ended in tears when, true to form, Gillian freaked out.

Gillian and Shaun were competing against Andy Whyment and Jordan Banjo and Phil Tuffnell and Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo.

Each team was handcuffed together and had to remove spanners and wrenches from three boxes containing nasties to eventually get themselves free.
