If you've ever fancied spending the night at a Welsh castle and the site of one of TV's biggest reality shows, the opportunity is now yours for the taking. At Abergele's Gwrych Castle, the home for the past two years of ITV's I'm a Celebrity, you can now rent out the 19th century Castle Gate Lodge and live like royalty.
Sleeping six, over three bedrooms, the Tan-yr-Ogo Lodge is the ceremonial entrance to Gwrych Castle and has recently been refurbished to welcome history buffs and give you a 'mini-castle experience' and for TV fans, a booking at the lodge will include passes to explore the castle and see where the likes of Giovanna Fletcher, Sir Mo Farah, Shane Richie and more took part in some rather gross but entertaining trials.
The accommodation is found in two of the 11 towers of the gate lodge complex and guests will get to choose whether they want to sleep in the east or west tower, making their holiday sound even fancier. There's an art deco bathroom, too and both towers and their bedrooms are connected by a gallery. The master bedroom (in the east tower) has views over the nearby sea and countryside.

When it comes to outdoor space, guests will have the run of the castle's nine miles of woodland as well as private gardens to the front of the lodge.
There is loads to find out about Gwrych Castle's history, too, the site saw the battle between Harold II and Griffith ap Llewelyn, the repulsion of Henry II by Owain Gwynedd and the betrayal of Richard II by Henry Percy, Earl of Northumberland, as immortalised by Shakespeare. These notable events are all found on sandstone inscription tablets in the battlements of Gwrych. For the more showbiz-minded guests, they can check out the I'm a Celebrity prop exhibition, which has some of the items used during the gruesome challenges.
You can book Tan-yr-Ogo Lodge via airbnb from £220 per night. Click here for more.
