I'm A Celebrity's Owen Warner and Jill Scott 'locked' in battle to win with days to go

Jill Scott and Owen Warner are ''locked' in a battle for I'm A Celebrity victory,. with just days to go until this year's final, as bookmakers keep changing their minds on who is favourite to win this year.

When the line-up for the new series of the jungle smash hut was officially confirmed, England Lionesses star Jill was made the immediate favourite to snatch the crown, just ahead of Mike Tindall and Olivia Attwood. Prior to her shock exit from I'm A Celebrity, just a day after the show launched, oliviua edged out Jill to be favourite, but, as soon as the Love Island star had to pull out, Jill returned to the top of the betting.

However, after being in the middle of the pack when he first went into the jungle, Hollyoaks actor Owen, the youngest of this year's campmates, has crept further and further into contention and earlier this week he was installed as the new favourite to win, just edging out Jill, with Mike Tindall remaining a strong shout for third place.

And now, with just four days to go until the I'm A Celebrity final, Jill and Owen have bookies torn on who they think will win on Sunday night.. At the time of writing on Wednesday afternoon , BetVictor had Jill as 4/7 favourite, with Owen second on 3/1. However, nailing their colours to Owen's post, British Gambler declared Owen the hot tip to triumph, on 6/4.

Discussing the extremely tight odds, A spokesperson for BritishGambler.co.uk commented: “Late bloomer Owen Warner has turned the I’m a Celeb leaderboard up-side-down as his popularity amongst the fans have gone from mid-table to top spot in a matter of days. The handsome 23 year old has manoeuvred his way around his campmates in a very impressive manner, from a memorable bushtucker trial with Matt Hancock to a funny conversation on working out with Seann Walsh to absolutely storming the Boiling Point trial, and as a result, he's toppled Jill Scott of the top seat and pushed Mike Tindall down to third place and it very much looks like a two-horse race at this stage"

Offering his take on the race to win I'm A Celebrity 2022, BetVictor's Sam Boswell said: “The winners’ market has been neck and neck between Jill and Owen this week, but Jill Scott finds herself back on top, at 4/7. She’s facing a bushtucker trial on her own tonight, placed in a flying car dangling metres above the jungle ground searching for stars.”

“Owen Warner comes in at 3/1, he’s been a bit of a dark horse in the competition as he started the series at 12/1. He’s a likeable character in the camp, he’s witty, charismatic and could go all the way to win.”
