I'm A Celebrity's Mike Tindall makes new career announcement after leaving ITV show

I'm A Celebrity star Mike Tindall has announced a daring new business venture - all for a good cause.

The former rugby player, who is married to Princess Anne's daughter Zara, surprised viewers after showing off his tight trunks while taking a dip in the jungle. He has now decided to launch his very own line of colourful swimwear for charity.

It will feature jungle-inspired designs and phrases such as "These are not my wife's" and "Nibble my nuts". The 44-year-old from Otley, created them in collaboration with his team from The Good, The Bad & The Rugby podcast and profits from the sales will go towards charity Cure Parkinson's, the Mirror reports.

On the website Budgy Smuggler, they describe the product as: “Wrap a bit of the Australian Jungle around you and dive right in” adding “Made in Australia, Inspired by Mike”. They are for sale at £35.

The decision to support that particular charity was in part due to Mike's own father suffering from the disease. Parkinson’s disease is a condition in which parts of the brain become progressively damaged over many years, according to the NHS website.

Phil Tindall has had the neurological disorder for 19 years. Mike previously spoke of his heartache about his dad’s deteriorating health.

He said: “My relationship with my dad is great, but it saddens me to see the man who taught me how to play rugby and taught me how to be a good sportsman – and generally a good bloke – has declined in his health through the crawling pace of this disease. If we can raise money and put it towards a cure, I will go through the pain for him, and enjoy it in some weird way."

Last year, he said his father has had a "tough five years" but that the condition has been worsening since 2011, which is when Mike married Zara. He said: "I would say he’s had a real sort of tough five years, maybe even longer actually.

“It’s our 10-year wedding anniversary and it was that year that … through his Parkinson’s, his spine in his back is obviously curved, and then it caused problems with his discs and then he had to have a wheelchair at the wedding. He could walk some bits of it.”

Talking of how his father lost strength after a back operation and then suffered colitis, he added: “When you start adding those things up they’ve made a massive change over the last 10 years whereas before that, you know, it was a lot slower process."
