Melvin Odoom has revealed that he finally got to meet up with celebrity “crush” Carol Vorderman.
The Radio 1 DJ, 44, entertained campmates while taking part in last year’s I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here after receiving a pillow featuring a glamorous picture of the 64-year-old ex-Countdown star as his luxury item.
He then admitted to having a massive crush on her but that his feelings for the maths whizz were so intense, that he couldn’t even bring himself to speak to her when they had crossed paths at a celebrity event.
Vorderman - who took part in the show in 2016 - previously appeared keen, even sending voice notes to spin-off show I'm a Celebrity... Unpacked telling him he was doing a “brilliant job” and “see you on the other side”.
Now, months later it appears that Odoom’s luck has come in as he posted two cosy-looking snaps of the pair together on Instagram.
“Dreamed it then real lifed it,” he penned, followed by a red love-heart emoji.
“Nah it’s a mazza.. bro we need a part 2,” his friend Marvin Humes penned, to which Odoom teasingly came back with: “@marvinhumes will fill you in soon Marv,” along with a winking emoji.
His other celebrity friends and followers were equally delighted, with Jedward begging: “Invite us to the wedding”.
Strictly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks was also all for it, chiming in with a laughing-face emoji.
While other’s declared: “Yes!!! This is the pairing I have been waiting for!” and that the news had them “smiling from ear-to-ear”.
