I'm A Celebrity's Matt Hancock under fire as Tory MP makes admission

A Tory MP has made an admission on Matt Hancock's I'm A Celebrity stint.

Mr Hancock first appeared on TV's toughest entertainment challenge last night. The former Health Secretary's participation in the show has been rocked with controversy as he was forced to resign during the pandemic for breaching his own coronavirus rules.

The MP for West Sussex joined the Australian camp last night and was voted to take on the Bushtucker trial in tonight's show. The poll is conducted on the I'm A Celeb app and the Northern Ireland secretary criticised Mr Hancock as he suggested a lot of MPs have downloaded the app to vote for the MP for West Sussex.

Chris Heaton-Harris said: "He should be here with us voting and debating in Parliament.”

He added: “So, I know the format of the show. I do believe there’s quite a lot of people in a building not too far away from here, the House of Commons and the House of Lords, who’ve downloaded a certain app so they can vote. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing.

"I read this morning what he said about how he wants to prove that all MPs are human, and that’s actually, you know, that is true. All MPs are human, but I think we do that every day in our constituencies and what we do in Parliament.”
