I'm A Celebrity's Joe Swash has spilled details about how his relationship with wife Stacey Solomon started. The former king of the jungle opened up about their marriage on a special episode of the South African 'all-star' edition of the show looking back at some of the unseen moments from the series.
Joe told his campmates that one of the first times he met Stacey, who he has been married to since 2022, she threw up all over the walls of his bathroom. But the actor and TV personality said there was “not much” she could do that would “put me off her”.
“One of the first times I met Stacey we got drunk on red wine, but Stacey is definitely not a drinker," Joe said. “She came back to my house and she said ‘I’ll tell you what, instead of me getting the lift up I’ll race you up the stairs’ – she was drunk."

He added: “By the time she got to the top of the stairs and got into my house before me, I went into the bathroom – when she’d run all the alcohol had mixed around her body. She puked all up the walls and puked on my mirror, it was brilliant mate.”
He also told the camp about a romantic gesture he made to show her how he felt about her that did not go down too well. Recalling his attempts to woo Stacey while he had been hosting the I'm A Celeb spin-off series Extra Camp, Joe said: “We just spent all day together every day for about a week, and I knew instantly, I could feel something coming from her.
“And if she was gonna go home and I was still out there for another two or three weeks, I thought, ‘wow, I’ve got to show her how I feel before she goes home’.
“I thought it’d be romantic to just knock on her door and start kissing her… She didn’t take it that way. It was like kissing a wall, and then she just shut the door and I thought ‘no!’.”
He added: “I must have gotten under her skin… as soon as I landed, two weeks later, I went straight to her house and then that was it, we’ve been together ever since.”
Joe previously became emotional during the series when he spoke about meeting Stacey on the show. “Honestly, I genuinely feel like I’m the biggest winner ever from anyone who’s done this show. It gave me my wife, my kids, a career for over a decade,” he said.
He added: “Growing up, all I wanted to be was a dad and have a family. Then the jungle came along … I met my wife on the jungle.” Stacey and Joe now have three children together - daughters Rose and Belle, and son Rex.

The 45-year-old presenter, known for her famous bikini shower scene during her original run in 2006 when she came second to musician Matt Willis, was crowned the first ‘I’m A Celebrity Legend’.
Following her win, Klass said: “I had a ball the first time. This time round, I’m a mum and that changes everything. You don’t want to let your children down, you don’t want to say something that will embarrass them. You don’t want to bottle out of a trial.”
