Jill Scott admits she is going into the I'm A Celebrity camp with imposter syndrome, but has warned her fellow campmates she won't put up with any laziness.
The second most-capped England women's football star said she still can't believe she was asked to take part in the hit show and doesn't see herself as a celebrity.
When asked whether she jumped at the chance to join the camp, Jill, 35, confessed to Mirror Online and other press that she immediately said yes as she was "still on a high" after the history-making Euros win.
But she openly admitted she didn't believe she has the status for a show of this type. "I still can't believe that I'm actually going to be doing it," she gushed.
"I don't even know who's going in and that's the God's honest truth. So it's hard to kind of picture if you see certain people who you are a fan of or something like that."
However, she revealed no matter who is in the jungle with her, she will under no circumstances put up with a lazy campmate.
"I don’t like laziness, obviously, coming from a sporting background," Jill continued. "And I don't like rudeness either. I don't mind if people want to speak their opinion. I think that's important in a team and everybody's opinions have to be valued, but I think you can still do that without being rude."
Opening up on her huge sporting achievement in the summer, the footballer admitted she is hoping people see her as a "down to earth character" and forget about her foul-mouthed outburst against Germany.
"It was just hopefully showing my passion and how much I wanted to win," she said. "I would have done absolutely anything that day to win that game. It was a lot of years of hurt built up inside. And yeah, maybe I did lose it for a short second, but at the end of the day we won, so hopefully people can forgive that."
On the subject of football, she admitted she fully expects Geordie duo Ant and Dec to give her a lot of stick due to her Sunderland roots, but is ready for anything they throw her way.
"People who are Newcastle and Sunderland fans know that it goes very deep, very deep, competitive kinds of sides between the two teams. So yeah, I don't think they'll [Ant and Dec] be helping me out too easily. But I've got to stick to my red and white and I'm sure they've got to stick to the black and white."
When in the jungle, Jill is most intrigued to compete in eating challenges to see if they're actually as bad as previous contestants have made out.
"I know that sounds a bit weird," she confessed when discussing the possibility of eating a disgusting dish. "But I always think like ‘oh surely you just eat it’ but I think when faced with it it's not that simple. So yeah, I'd like to maybe have a crack at that."
One thing she openly admits to fearing though is rats. She revealed she is slightly concerned about the outcome if she has to deal with the rodents in an enclosed space. "It'll be an interesting one if that situation occurs," she nervously said.
