I'm A Celebrity's Carol Vordeman says her bottom is 'most buoyant thing in Britain' as she struggles with water trial

Carol Vorderman has jumped straight back into I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! as she takes part in I'm A Celebrity... South Africa. And having already faced a scary height trial, a first look at the latest episode shows Carol heading underwater for Tanks of Torment - and joking about her bum.

In scenes set to air on Tuesday, May 2, Carol has to swim through tanks of frogs, crocodiles and snakes, and she chooses fellow campmate Fatima Whitbread to help her with the trial. Describing the trial, Ant tells the pair: "This is Tanks of Torment. Carol, it’s your job to swim through the four sections of the tank, collecting stars as you go."

Dec adds: "You will only be able to move through the sections once Fatima has raised the doors that separate them." Admitting there could be a problem, Carol joked: “My bottom always floats to the top… it’s the most buoyant thing in Britain. So getting down underwater is my biggest problem.”

Before the trial Carol nervously admits: “I’m not sure I want to do it.” And a clip shows Carol having to hold her breath for a long time while doing the trial. Carol, who grew up in Prestatyn, has revealed going on I'm A Celebrity was such a life-changing experience in 2016 that it inspired her to buy a house in Wales.

"Doing I'm A Celebrity changed me a lot," Carol explained. "It made me realise that I was missing many things I loved and within a short space of time after leaving the camp, I bought a little house in West Wales. I love Wales and I love being out at night."
