I'm A Celebrity's Boy George takes swipe at 'controlling' Charlene White as she 'rubs him up the wrong way'

Boy George took a swipe at fellow campmate Charlene White on Tuesday night's episode of I'm A Celebrity branding her "controlling".

The music legend took issue with the broadcaster as she took the lead in the kitchen helping to prepare kangaroo sausages and ladyfingers for tea. As soon as the magical bag from above dropped down, Charlene sprung into action to make sure everything was cooked to perfection.

Charlene dished out roles and instructions with campmates even declaring it was "Charlene’s kitchen". However, while most were more than happy for the Loose Woman to take the lead, Boy George wasn't overly happy and admitted she "rubs him up the wrong way".

He told A Place in the Sun presenter Scarlette Douglas: "I just feel like Charlene's very controlling. She tells you what to do and it really rubs you up the wrong way." Boy George also said he was "happy to do anything" but that there was "no room to do anything" and said he needed to be told what to do.

Ant and Dec described the growing tensions as "deliciously awkward" and joked: "Cringe, cringe! Isn’t it deliciously awkward!"

Although Boy George was clearly annoyed by the situation, many viewers at home were baffled by the whole thing. One person took to Twitter to say: "Am I blind and deaf or is Charlene not being bossy at all?" Another said: "The public trying to understand what Boy George is creating drama for..."

Boy George is definitely one of the most buzzed-about stars on this year's I'm A Celebrity line-up, with him rumoured to be getting a pay packet of £500,000 for taking part in the ITV show. Viewers were already predicting an early clash in the jungle by what he claimed was 'cooking hierarchy' in camp.

He'd previously been chosen by viewers to be a VIP which saw him condemned to spend his first night on I'm A Celebrity on a remote island, along with Scarlette Douglas, Olivia Attwood, who has been forced to quit and Chris, before the quartet finally went into the jungle after completing the first trial of the new series and winning eight stars for camp.
