I'm A Celebrity's Ant McPartlin forced to 'withhold' information to avoid spoiling whole show

Ant McPartlin gave a deliberately vague intro to Thursday night's I'm A Celebrity, to avoid the risk of ruining the whole show for viewers at home, given that the time difference between the UK and Australia, meant everything in the episode had already happened.

The new series of the ITV show is now in full swing, with this year's I'm A Celebrity final now just over a week away, meaning the twists and turns are coming thick and fast every night. There was a big surprise for the campmates at the end of Wednesday's show when Ant and Dec arrived in the jungle to tell them, that rather than the public voting for who would do the next trial it would be down to them to choose and it would be balls for the beach barbecue tombola they'd be playing for, rather than stars for meals.

The discussion on who would do the trial seemed to be done and dusted as cameras kept rolling on Wednesday night's show following Ant and Dec's announcement, as Matt Hancock, Mike Tindall and Owen Warner ' ruined the cliff-hanger' by quickly putting themselves forward.

Ant tried to keep the mystery going over who took part in the trial and who ended up going to the beach barbecue, delivering a very vague teaser as to what was coming up on Thursday night. Looking down the camera lens, he said: "Coming up on tonight's show; somebody, somebody and somebody win that precious beach barbecue and somebody, somebody and somebody face the fears."

Looking both amused and bemused, co-host Dec Donnelly replied: "Somebody's being very vague tonight," as Ant shot back: "Somebody doesn't want to giveaway what happens," as Dec then quipped: "Well maybe somebody should get on with the show!"
