Andy Whyment has revealed how his feud with Janice Dickinson kicked off – and it was sparked by just eight words.
The Coronation Street star was booted out of the competition on Monday alongside former Made In Chelsea star Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo, when they lost against Myleene Klass and Jordan Banjo in the Gold Rush challenge. Despite their best efforts, the pair lost by a few seconds and were sent packing from the show immediately.
Andy fell out with Janice, with their feud airing on the show. Speaking on Lorraine this morning, Andy told the presenter: "There was that one moment. We had lots of conversations, me and Janice, and when she came out, everything was fine. I was hungry, I was tired.
"The thing that got me more than anything was when she said 'he doesn't want to do anything for me'. They didn't show it but the day before, we walked to the waterfall – it was quite a long walk away – and we linked the whole way because there were so many rocks."
Andy also previously suggested Janice had been acting up for the cameras.
Speaking about their feud, he said: "I was in the jungle with Caitlyn Jenner in 2019 and she’s a massive star and she wasn’t rude like Janice. I don’t think there’s any need for it. I don’t know if it’s for the cameras or something. There were times when she was lying in bed and then Ant and Dec would come in and she’d jump up. Then she’d be her usual loud self."
Following his exit, he revealed who he was closest to – and his plans to meet up with Shaun Ryder more now.
"The first 24-hours it was me and Myleene really. Then Shaun came in. It’s mad as me and Shaun didn’t realise he lives 15 minutes down the road from me. We went to the same primary school, the same high school. And I’ve never met him, I’ve met Bez before. I got on really well with Shaun, but once I went to main camp, he pretty much left straight away with Gillian as they lost the Trial," he said.
"I got on really well with Amir – I love my boxing. I have met Amir a few times before as he is from Bolton, but I’ve never sat down and had a proper good chat with him. It was good to get to know him. And I got on well with Jordan. I even got on well with Janice but at times she was just a little too much for me! I could just hear her voice constantly."
He added: "It's a bigger camp than Australia but you’re still on top of each other. Toff was great, Myleene was great. I mean, Carol Vorderman… growing up I always remember my dad and my sister getting the pen and paper out and sitting there doing Countdown every day. As soon as I walked in she said, ‘It’s Kirky, It’s Kirky’ so that was nice for me."
