I'm a Celebrity row erupts between Carol Vorderman and Janice Dickinson over Royal Family

The drama on the new I'm A Celebrity.... Get Me Out Of Here series will begin straight away in the camp on the new legends series as two contestants are already understood to be at loggerheads.

The new show, which airs from Monday, April 24, on ITV and will be hosted by Ant and Dec, will see Carol Vorderman and Janice Dickinson embroiled in a feud from the early scenes, with heated scenes expected early on.

American model Janice, 68, who took part in the jungle show in 2007, reportedly lays into 62-year-old Countdown legend Carol’s views on the British monarchy, the Mirror reports.

A source said fellow campmates Paul Burrell – an ex-royal butler – and Helen Flanagan are forced to come to Carol’s defence. Explosive scenes are expected when the show gets underway on Monday, with an insider saying Janice was effing and blinding over the bust-up.

Elaborating further, the source says the row over the Royal Family started because Janice believes it needs to go, while Carol is a supporter of the monarchy.

“Janice can be quite abrasive and things got very heated.

“She said Carol’s views were old-fashioned and dated while Carol hit back that Janice was crass and obnoxious. She and Carol are both strong women with strong opinions. It was a personality clash that was bound to explode.”

The show, which was pre-recorded in South Africa’s Kruger National Park last year, begins on Monday, April 24, night. The first episode will see Janice, Paul and Shaun Ryder take on the Trees of Torment challenge Carol, Jordan Banjo and Amir Khan will walk the plank 50 metres above ground in the Deadly Drop.

I’m A Celebrity…South Africa begins on Monday, April 24, at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
