I'm A Celebrity Matt Hancock's whispered words to Gina Coladangelo after ITV show exit

After finishing third on I'm A Celebrity in tonight's edition of the reality contest, former health secretary Matt Hancock was met on the infamous bridge by his partner, Gina Coladangelo. Following the MP's elimination, former Lioness Jill Scott was crowned Queen of the Jungle, receiving more votes than runner-up and Hollyoaks star Owen Warner.

Hancock and Coladangelo embraced at the end of the bridge, with the politician visibly delighted as he saw his partner coming towards him. As the pair hugged, the microphones picked up Hancock's voice as her he whispered "I love you so much" in Coladangelo's ear, the Mirror reported.

Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec, the controversial MP said: "I wanted to show what I was like as a person. Lots of people come to me with preconceived ideas, for obvious reasons. I just wanted to be myself.

"But I also actually strongly believe that for politicians as a whole, we don't come across as human enough. And this is probably the most extreme way of just showing who you are, I am someone who throws himself into things. And we managed to talk about some important things here."

On receiving criticism from fellow campmates during his jungle stay, the controversial MP said: "I was expecting that and some of those were grillings and some were a release because I could say what I thought and some were very emotional. I live with them and I feel it. But what I was able to and what I was grateful, was we had really grown up conversations about it."

The pair's extramarital-affair surfaced after CCTV footage emerged of the pair in May 2021 when Coladangelo was working as his aide, with their relationship garnering criticism due to the perceived contradiction of advice Hancock had given to the British public to reduce the spread of Covid-19. Both of them soon separated from their respective spouses.
