Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner has been confirmed as the fourth star taking part in this year's I'm A Celebrity - and he's looking to find love while he's at it.
The 23-year-old soap star - who has played Romeo Nightingale on the Channel 4 soap since 2018 - landed in Brisbane Airport and seemed excited to be heading into the ITV show.
He said: "I'm scared of all sorts of things to be fair. Snakes aren't a bit of me, I don't know why I have come to Australia! Snakes and spiders everywhere here.
"I don't mind a bit of camping. When the weather is nice camping is great but when it is raining and cold it is not so cold."
Asked if he was leaving any loved ones back home he said he would miss his family and friends, but was single at the moment.
He said: "My mum is the one who is going to be the one missing me. I am single and ready for the jungle. I am always looking for romance but I am not going in especially for that.
"I will miss football and family most."
He previously dated former co-star Stephanie Davis, who played Sinead Shelby on the soap, before they split in 2019.
Owen said some of the cast of Hollyoaks knew he was going and had told him to "enjoy it".
He said he will make a "half a heart" symbol for his mum on screen when he is missing her.
Famous faces are landing thick and fast in Australia ahead of the latest series of the popular ITV series and Owen will join DJ Chris Moyles, Love Island's Olivia Attwood and Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver in the jungle.
Former Radio 1 DJ Chris was uncharacteristically quiet at Brisbane airport and said of his trip Down Under: "It should be nice, fingers crossed anyway."
After being asked if he was scared of creepy crawlies in camp, he joked the country is also full of beer and sport so he thinks he will "be alright".
Reality star Olivia, 31, was a lot more open with her answer, insisting she's more scared of herself and questioned how long fellow campmates will be able to tolerate her. She also revealed she hadn't packed many bikinis as contestants "aren't allowed very many".
Corrie's Sue, 59, showed up at the airport in leopard print attire, but was very coy in her thoughts of entering the camp. All she would reveal is how she loves visiting Australia before she declined to answer any further show-related questions.
Ahead of the new series gracing our screens, all celebs will have to stay locked in isolation for a week with bosses said to be taking no chances with the continuing coronavirus pandemic.
Giving this extra time before entering the specially-made set allows the show more time should any of its main stars catch Covid on their flight into the country. If they do so, there would still be a chance they could enter as a late arrival should they test negative a few days later.
This year's eagerly anticipated competition is set to kick off on November 6, meaning the first arrivals are touching down well ahead of usual. It's thought the series will still last three weeks, but has been brought forward a week so it doesn't interfere too much with coverage of the World Cup, which gets underway on November 21.
While there will be a small overlap between the two key shows, it's not thought that it's going to affect either audiences too much.
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! Starts on ITV on November 6.
