I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! announce April all-stars cast - Shaun Ryder, Amir Khan and more

Big-name celebrities have been announced for a special all-star edition of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! next month.

Bosses at the ITV staple successfully convinced a number of former campmates to return to the South African jungle next month, to take part in a brand-new spin off show, guaranteed to entertain Britons across the nation.

Happy Mondays legend Shaun Ryder is swinging back to the show, joined by former British boxing champion Amir Khan - who will no doubt be looking for a rumble in the jungle.

Decorated Olympian Fatima Whitbread and ex-cricketer Phil Tufnell will also share the set, with Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan and presenter Carol Vorderman also making up the numbers.

Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo, supermodel Janice Dickinson, and former royal butler Paul Burrell will also land in South Africa for next month's instalment - which has been dubbed the 'toughest series yet'.

An ITV spokeswoman said: “They survived the Australian jungle, but South Africa is an even harder proposition which will push them to their limits and test them like never before.

“The challenges are bigger and tougher and the environment harsher and more unforgiving. The contestants are determined to go all out to impress viewers."

Prior to his entry, Amir Khan said: “I’m determined this time not to be soft when it comes to the trials!” while Helen Flanagan added: “I will be scared, but I will have a go and I will be a lot better than last time!”

More celebs will be sent in as the series progresses, before the show crowns its first I’m A Celebrity Legend.

The action kicks off on ITV1 next month.
