I'm A Celebrity fans left 'unimpressed' as they say 'surely they can't' over final four after fuming over 'pointless' move before final

I'm A Celebrity... South Africa viewers have been left 'unimpressed' as they discovered who had made the final four. The first-ever spin-off of the ITV reality show kicked off last month and after three weeks of memorable campmates taking part in the usual trials to win food for camp.

However, because the series was pre-recorded for the first time in the show's two-decade history, there was no public vote and it meant that the line-up of celebs had to take part in elimination challenges to decide who would make it to the end before one is chosen to become the first I'm A Celebrity 'Legend'.

Due to the change in format of the series, some fan favourites have lost their place across the series ahead of the final. Earlier this week, former I'm A Celeb winner Joe Swash left camp for good after losing out on his place to now-finalist Phil Tufnell.

Helen Flanagan was then the next popular star to be axed from the show during a survival challenge, despite being tipped to win the show thanks to her transformation since taking on the jungle ten years ago in 2012. The former Coronation Street star and fellow soap actor Dean Gaffney lost their places in camp just two days before the final.

Then, on Thursday night (May 11), Paul Burell and Carol Vorderman were seen being given the boot from camp by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly after being the slowest to complete the day's trial.

It meant that the pair narrowly missed out on a place in the final, with Phill Tuffnell, Myleene Klass, Jordan Banjo and Fatima Whitbread remaining in the competition for the last show on Friday night (May 12).

And it's fair to say I'm A Celeb viewers are not happy with the fact that they haven't been able to have a say in who leaves and, eventually, who wins. @susie.g123 said: "Not impressed at how this is being decided." @Charlotte_K13 tweeted: "I rly don't like how the British public have no vote on who wins or nefin #Imaceleb." @spo0_ claimed: "This is so pointless without viewers being able to vote, don’t do this again ITV! #ImACeleb."

It was then teased at the end of the penultimate episodes that the campmates will decide who is next to leave before being left with the final three. After a difficult discussion over a "terrible thing to do", a decision was soon to be made. But despite their ongoing reasoning, the show was left on a cliffhanger leaving fans frustrated.

@hollgallacher tweeted: "Pointless leaving it on a cliffhanger. Tomorrow is the final so 3 will be gone and 1 will be crowned anyway #imacelebrity #ImACeleb." @thirlwclls said: "Winds me up mad when they leave it on a cliffhanger #ImACeleb." @mlawelshgirl added: "Ffs another cliffhanger #ImACeleb #imacelebrity."

And the final four has also left viewers with some concerns as they choose their remaining favourites. @christine.keegan said: "Surely they can't choose Phil over Myleene. Phil has done nothing in there for legend status. Myleene is a machine. She's my winner."

@Nic_Nik complained: "They really should have got the final four to do a trial to determine the winner, it’s not fair to make the others pick a loser #ImACeleb." @Mammy_white added: "I think it’s cruel for them to be told they are being kicked out on the say so of the ex campmates and if it is Phil who goes imagine his self confidence it will be twice not to be saved #ImACeleb."
