I'm a Celebrity: Fans in hysterics after Matt Hancock's incorrect Taj Mahal answer

Matt Hancock was once again nominated to take part in tonight's Bushtucker Trial on I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! with fans left in hysterics by one of his incorrect answers. The former Health Secretary faced Who Wants To Be Silly On Air alongside Owen Warner.

The trial, based on quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, saw the pair asked a range of questions as they competed for stars. However, in typical Bushtucker Trial fashion, the celebrities were drenched with slime and goop in a bid to distract them.

One question read: "As the crow flies, which of these places is closest to the 'I'm a Celeb' camp?" After choosing the 50:50 option, the pair were left with The Taj Mahal and Mount Fuji as potential answers.

After insisting from the start that The Taj Mahal was furthest from the camp, and explaining that Mount Fuji was in Japan, Hancock eventually opted for.... The Taj Mahal. The answer was wrong.

To add to his embarrassment, partner Owen said: "I could have told you that!" The former Health Secretary blamed 'not being able to see the question' on his incorrect answer.

Viewers at home were left in hysterics by his mistake. They took to Twitter to react to the answer.

@nataliasmotive said: "No way they did that on national television i am inconsolable #ImACeleb." @yellowfan26 added: "#ImACeleb that was Embarrassing."

@tikgnat tweeted: "Well, Matt Hancock is as good at Geography as Dominic Raab!" @RMufc20 put: "You would of thought Matt would he a bit more clever wouldn’t you."

@Teeej333 said: "Oh I could have told you that yeah right Owen hahahahaha omg I love this guy !!! #ImACeleb."

The pair eventually won five out of a possible 11 stars.
