I'm A Celebrity fans all saying the same thing as Scarlette cries at sight of spider in camp

ITV I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here fans have all been saying the same thing in the wake of Tuesday night's episode when Scarlette Douglas cried over a spider in the camp.

The frightening moment came when contestants took part in a group task for a chance to spend a night in a proper bed in the RV parked in the camp.

After unlocking a number of boxes and picking out a key each to try in the RV, two contestants won the right to stay overnight. Footballers Jill Scott and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner stepped inside after their keys opened the RV.

The prize of a real bed didn't seem all that great when the group spotted a huge Huntsman spider on the wall near the roof of the truck.

Rugby legend Mike Tindall fearlessly stepped in and swept the spider up into his hands and brought it outside. He briefly let it crawl over his hands in the camp before releasing it in the trees.

Fellow campmate Scarlette could then be seen crying over the sight of the spider as she has a massive fear.

“I know it’s an over reaction", she admitted. But Radio DJ Chris Moyles then told her: “It’s not, it’s your reaction.” And Sue Cleaver said: “You have a phobia!”

Loose Women star Charlene White helped to calm her down as she took a few deep breaths and gathered herself.

Despite the emotional outburst, viewers of the show on Twitter were ruthless in their reaction and say Scarlette will now almost definitely be voted to take part in the next Bushtucker Trial involving spiders.

One posted: "Is Scarlette really reacting like that over that spider. She's got no chance if she's doing a trial with them in."

Another added: "Sorry Scarlette you just showed your weakness so the next spider trial will be yours."

She will, however, be spared the next trial which will air tonight as new arrivals Matt Hancock and Seann Walsh will take on the Bushtucker Trial in the hunt for stars and meals for camp.

Ant and Dec, the show hosts, welcomed the pair on Tuesday after days of speculation over the Tory politician and comedian.

Sadly, one campmate has already left the show. Olivia Attwood was forced to quit the show after 24 hours following concerning medical tests.

She wanted to return but was not allowed, due to coronavirus bubbles and rules which surround the programme. The new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here airs every night at 9pm on Virgin Media One in Ireland.
