I'm A Celebrity fans have accused Matt Hancock of being 'fake' as he opened up on making the ITV show final.
Viewers - and Matt's past and present campmates - were no doubt stunned when it was revealed that the Tory MP had made the final alongside favourites Owen Warner and Jill Scott. Mike Tindall, the first ever member of the Royal Family to do the show, was booted out during yesterday evening's penultimate episode before he was met on the bridge by wife Zara Tindall.
As the show kicked off today, the three celebrities discussed how they felt about being in the final three.
After saying their goodbyes to ex rugby player Mike, Jill said: "I actually can’t believe it."
In the Bush Telegraph, Hollyoaks actor Owen was stunned to have made it to the final, but admitted he was excited to be out soon. "I'm in the final baby! What is going on? I don’t know what to say, I don’t know what to think… I want to speak to my mum," he said.
As the three of them shared a group hug, Hancock admitted: "That is unreal!" before Jill added: "I need to just sit down."
In the Bush Telegraph, Jill reflected on making it to the final - as she confessed it meant the "world" to her.
"When I first stepped into the jungle and looked around at all of the celebrities, no way am I getting anywhere near that final. To be part of the final three with Owen and Matt, god, it just means the world, it really does," she said.
Hancock also reflected on his surprise final place - admitting he was "so grateful".
He shared: "I can’t believe I’m in the final. It’s brilliant... I'm just so grateful."
However, his reaction to making the final didn't go down well with fans who accused him of being 'fake' with his comments.
" Matt Hancock ’s s**t eating grin at being in the final turns my f***ing stomach. Shambles. #ImACeleb," one wrote, whilst a second added: "We can’t believe you’re in the final either Matt #ImACeleb."
A third shared: "Matt Hancock is so fake. It’s sickening. #ImACeleb #MattHancock," with a fourth writing: "How can people see Matt blatantly advertising himself and not see how disingenuous he is? He’s a fake #ImACeleb."
