I'm A Celebrity host Ant McPartlin has said he will "go to the producers" over contestant Charlene White's behaviour. It comes as viewers have branded her selfish over her actions.
As the camp's deputy leader, the Loose Women star is allowed to sleep in a comfy bed in the camp's RV. However, she has decided not to, and her decision has confused Both Ant and Dec — and angered viewers.
Jill Scott and Owen Warner were previously in the RV and have had to to make way for the new leader Matt Hancock and his deputy, Charlene. But Charlene is refusing to sleep in the vehicle because she found a spider.
Initially, she wailed "I can’t do this tonight." And she the told the Bush Telegraph: "My bravery levels are done for today. I really don't want to have to sleep in the RV."
Viewers say her refusal to move into the RV has left other campmates without a bed and they say she is breaking the rules, reports the Manchester Evening News. And Ant and Dec are both perplexed by her refusal.
Dec said: "Do you get it? I don’t get it." Ant replied: "Why would you not want to sleep in there? It can't just be because of the spiders."
The pair then suggested that it was because she didn't want to sleep alongside Matt Hancock. Ant said: "I think it might be that but you’ve got to think of others and if other people have to then sleep in a hammock because of your actions and have a bad back, then you’ve got to look at your actions."
It comes as fellow campmate comedian Seann Walsh has recently complained of back pains caused by sleeping in a hammock.
Ant and Dec also read a message from a viewer who asked whether or not her refusal to sleep in the RV is breaking show rules, as her role as deputy camp leader means she cannot partake in chores and must sleep in the RV. Ant replied: "I think maybe she is and I’m going to speak to the producers about it."
Viewers have been infuriated by Charlene's behaviour, branding her selfish - with many now voting for her to do the next Bushtucker trial . On twitter, @FliterJaxme said: "Me knowing I used all five of my votes to get Charlene to do a trial after being so selfish with the RV."
Slivio Lanza tweeted: Charlene is winding me up. Chuck her in the RV, lock it and throw away the key."
And Hunter said: "I'm voting for Charlene cause I'm salty about her not sleeping the RV."
