I'm A Celebrity All-Stars - location, full line-up, hosts and rumoured start date

I'm A Celebrity All-Stars has finally been confirmed after presenting duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly took to Twitter to reveal the exciting news to fans.

Rumours of the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! spin-off have been rife since the start of the year, but now news of the not-so-secret special series is finally out.

In a video posted to the social media platform, Dec told their followers: "It's probably the worst-kept secret in television but we can confirm we are doing a very special series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!"

The new All-Stars show is a one-off special series featuring a cast made up of some of the favourite contestants from the last 20 years of the hit survival reality series, which has had some truly memorable moments.

The programme will see the former contestants returning to the show for a second time as they're given another chance to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.

Here's everything we know so far about the highly anticipated I'm A Celebrity All-Star series.

Where will I'm A Celebrity All-Stars be filmed?

While the regular series of I'm A Celeb has been confirmed to be returning to Australia this year after two years in Wales, the All Star spin-off series won't be heading down under.

Instead, I'm A Celebrity All Stars will take place in a brand new location — South Africa.

Ant and Dec revealed the new location during their video announcing the series, panning the camera to show their surroundings they shouted the news that they were in "South Africaaaaaaa!"

The line-up for the All-Star series will be made up of 15 celebrities who have previously taken part in I'm A Celebrity, and there are lots of familiar faces who are already reported to be returning.

A show insider told the Sun: "It's a different format to Australia, who knows when and where celebrities will enter camp, literally anything could happen.

"It's not clear how many will start in camp or how many will be there by the end when one is crowned King or Queen of the jungle, possibly for a second time."

It's expected that 2017 winner Georgia Toff will be making a comeback in an attempt to try and claim the crown again. She'll also reportedly be joined by Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder, ex-cricketer Phil Tufnell and British boxer Amir Khan.

Joe Swash is also believed to have filmed for the series; Joe won the 2008 series and went on to present the spin-off show for 10 years, where he met his wife Stacey Solomon after she was crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2010.

Stacey hinted that Joe will be in the series as she revealed to her fans on Instagram that he's been away filming for a few weeks and that his flight home was cancelled.

More soap stars believed to be part of the cast include EastEnders ' Dean Gaffney and Coronation Street's Andrew Whyment and Helen Flanagan.

Another iconic campmate anticipated to return is Gillian McKeith, who made headlines when she passed out live on air during the 2010 series.

Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell has also signed up, as well as American model Janice Dickinson and Olympian Fatima Whitbread.

Two stars from the 2016 series are expected to reunite — Countdown's Carol Vorderman and Diversity's Jordan Banjo.

Completing the star-studded cast is Myleene Klass, who is reported to be returning 16 years after her original stint on the programme.

Myleene sent fans reeling with a steamy shower scene during her series back in 2006 and now a source has told The Sun: "Myleene is going back on the show and could not be more excited."

Who is hosting I'm A Celebrity All-Stars?

Ant and Dec will return as hosts for the spin-off All Star Series and have already shared some sneak peeks of their time in South Africa to social media, including spotting zebras, giraffes and hippos.

The beloved TV duo have been hosting I'm A Celebrity since the very first series back in 2002 and have continued to host every single series together, apart from 2018, when Holly Willoughby filled in for Ant for the year as he took a break from presenting to focus on getting sober.

For the past two years, Ant and Dec have been presenting I'm A Celeb from Wales due to the Covid pandemic, but now the hosts are able to jet off again and have been making the most of this by filming in both South Africa and Australia this year.

When does I'm A Celebrity All-Stars start?

Unlike the regular I'm A Celebrity series, the All-Star series isn't going to be live and Ant and Dec have already returned from filming for the special series in South Africa.

However, it will still be a little while until we get to see the All-Star series, which won't air until 2023.

Clearing up any confusion about the regular series and the All Star series, Ant told Dec: "This will be on next year. So Australia 2022 and South Africa 2023."

ITV is yet to confirm an official start date for the All-Star series, although it's been reported that the series is likely to air early in the year.
