I'm A Celebrity All Stars: Carol Vorderman rumoured to be returning to camp for special series

Clifton's very own Carol Vorderman is said to be returning to our screens for a special spin-off of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! The Countdown whizz, 61, is said to be part of the dazzling cohort of former celebrity contestants to be taking part in next year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! All Stars.

The South African-filmed show has been in the pipeline for some time, with The Mirror reporting that the rumoured line-up includes 15 former stars of the show. Former royal butler Paul Burrell has reportedly signed up to take part, meaning viewers could be privy to some juicy royal gossip.

Other rumoured stars include Made in Chelsea's Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo, A Question of Sport's Phil Tufnell, EastEnders stars Dean Gaffney and Joe Swash, and the ever-fainting Gillian McKeith. Other celebrities said to be taking part include Corrie stars Helen Flanagan and Andrew Whyment, Diversity's Jordan Banjo, model Janice Dickinson, and Olympian Fatima Whitbread.

Speaking to The Sun, a source close to the show said: "It's a different format to Australia, who knows when and where celebrities will enter camp, literally anything could happen. It's not clear how many will start in camp or how many will be there by the end when one is crowned King or Queen of the jungle, possibly for a second time.

"It's the best of I'm A Celebrity, quite literally, but there's some twists and surprises along the way for viewers and campers so it's not going to be as straightforward as they might think."

The 2023 spin-off series is rumoured to be filmed at South Africa's Kruger National Park, rather than in the jungle Down Under. The usual Australian-filmed series will not be ditched in favour of the All Stars series, though, as it is thought to run in addition to the regular annual programme.

Ant and Dec announced the news of the special series on Twitter last week, sharing a video on the social media platform. The famous Geordie pair wrote: "South Africaaaa! That's right, we're filming a very special version of I'm A Celebrity in South Africa, which is coming to your tellies in 2023,

"We've got news, It's probably the worst kept secret in television, but we can confirm we're doing a very special series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in South Africa! We're here, it's going to be your favourite celebrities from the last 20 years who are going back in to do it one more time."
