Mike Tindall

Mike Tindall (ITV)

Rugby player and royal, Mike Tindall, 44, is the first celebrity officially announced as taking part in 2022. Of joining the series, he said: “I reckon it’s a difficult one to win I’m A Celebrity. I am used to doing something where you know if you do the best you can, you can win. This isn’t that set up. All I would hope to do is be useful to the group. Winning is out of your control. But I am not going in to win it. All I can do is what I think is the best and someone else will judge me on whether they think it is."

Jill Scott

Jill Scott (ITV)

Fresh from her Women's Euros win, football player Jill Scott, 35, is next up. “I am a winning type of person naturally but more in a football sense when there is a Euro’s trophy at the end of it. I am not going in to win. I am going in to have a good time. I think my England teammates will be shocked when they find out,” she said of taking part.

Chris Moyles

Chris Moyles (ITV)

Long-rumoured contestant, Chris Moyles' involvement has now been officially confirmed. The 48-year-old radio DJ and presenter said: “If people are expecting what they hear on the radio, then they had better prepare themselves for a much quieter, sensitive Christopher Moyles. The radio version is a very turned up version of me, but hopefully if I can bring some humour to the camp, then it will make everyone in the camp feel at ease.”

Out of all the campmates, Chris is probably the most likely to slag someone off in the Bush Telegraph. We'll be keeping an eye on him this year!

Boy George

Boy George (ITV)

Singing sensation Boy George, 61, is most likely to "sing and strop in equal measure" in camp. Of taking part in this year's series, he added: “I am bored of being iconic in the corner and if you want to compete in the world then being part of telly is part of that. This is the biggest show on TV and that is why I am doing it. And now I have made the decision, I don’t want to focus too much on what the experience might be like, but my intention is it is going to be amazing.”

Charlene White

Charlene White (ITV)

Swapping the newsroom for the jungle is ITV newsreader and Loose Women's Charlene White. The 42-year-old said: “I have upped my gym training in the run up and I am doing a few more weights. None of us have ever been in this situation before so you can’t prepare. But if I feel body strong, then I know I will feel mentally stronger.”

Sue Cleaver

Sue Cleaver (ITV)

Leaving behind the Rovers Return for three weeks is Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw in the long-running ITV soap opera. "I am going in with an open mind. Nothing is going to kill us and I am not going to wind myself up, trying to overthink everything. I don’t know how I will behave and I am going to let the experience unfold in front of my eyes,” she said.

Owen Warner

Owen Warner (ITV)

The youngest contestant this year is Hollyoaks' Owen Warner, who is 23 years old. The actor said of taking part: “If someone is out of order, then I will say something. But I don’t want it to cause any tension and hopefully they will stop. I don’t think I will cry either in the jungle but then again I cry at most films and sometimes even new food!"

Babatunde Aléshé

Babatunde Aléshé (ITV)

Known for sitting alongside comedian Mo Gilligan on Celebrity Gogglebox, Babatunde Aléshé is set to come into his own on this year's I'm A Celebrity. He said: “I haven’t got time for arguments. I know seeing me freaking out every five minutes will be entertaining for everyone but this will be a first-time experience for all of us and I think my role will be as a tension breaker. We don’t need to be bickering behind each other’s backs. We are all in the same boat together."

Olivia Attwood

Olivia Attwood (ITV)

A first for I'm A Celebrity... Love Island's Olivia Attwood is the first person from the ITV2 dating show to head to the jungle. The reality TV personality and presenter said: “One of the things that will be nice will be to show a different side to me. I think people think I am high maintenance and I will struggle without make-up and nails but I am not that bothered and I think that might surprise people. I am happy to muck in."

Olivia added: “It will also be nice to have a digital detox. I do a lot of social media and I spend a crazy amount of time on my phone. My phone causes me stress. We are all prisoners to our phones and so it will be so nice to have this time in life where you are digitally disconnected for three weeks. It’s going to be great to be completely immersed in the jungle environment and I am excited to see what I can do.”

Scarlette Douglas

Scarlette Douglas (ITV)

A Place in the Sun's Scarlette Douglas is this year's final contestant. She said of joining the show: “I am dreading any trial involving spiders and I am also dreading the food trial. It’s going to be hard too not being able to bring my seasoning into camp but I want to prove to everyone I can smash it!”

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here begins on ITV on Sunday, November 6 at 9pm
