Myleene Klass says she is proud of her "strong body" which was made famous when she wore a white bikini in the jungle shower.
The 45-year-old is one of three newcomers to the All Stars version of the show in South Africa and wouldn't reveal if she took a new bikini into camp the second time around.
But she said: “There are worse things to be known for than being really clean! Since then, I have had three babies and I don’t look like that now.
“I am really proud of how strong my body has been. It has been through lots of trials and tribulations since and part of the reason for doing this all-star version is I want to remind myself of that. It’s also good to remind yourself that you can do it.”
Myleene also recalled how appearing on the show in 2006 changed her as a person.
She said: “I came out a different person. I learnt in Australia I was a lot stronger than I gave myself credit for. Before I did the show, I was at college, then I worked as a backing singer, then a pop band and then classical work.
“You can lose confidence in yourself and you obsess about what is presented to you as you don’t know any better. I realised I was mentally stronger than I ever imagined myself to be.”
This time around her three kids are backing her adventure.
She said: “My children are excited too. They weren’t around when I first went in and it is something we have always talked about. When we sat down together as a family to talk about it, they told me to do it because it looked like so much fun.”
Myleene is one of a trio of newcomers to the show with Coronation Street star Andy Whyment and former jungle queen Georgia Toffolo also heading into the bush on the show tonight (Wednesday 25 April).
They start off life away from the main camp in a second basic camp dubbed the Savannah Scrub.
Toffolo, 28, says the first show helped conquer fears. She explained: “You will never not be scared of horrible creatures, but I am really chilled now with spiders. If there is one in the house, I will move it. That’s not to say I want a spider as a pet!”
And Andy, known to millions as Kirk Sutherland in the ITV soap, was thrilled to be back on the series, having been a runner up in 2019.
He said: “I am an ordinary guy and I was so glad people saw me for who I am. Before then, they had just seen me as Kirk.
“I’m A Celebrity is 24 hours a day and it meant a lot to me that people did vote for me. I think it is why I got so emotional as I’d never done a show where people were voting for me as me.
“I was over the moon to come runner-up in the series and it feels great to be doing it all over again.”
