I'm A Celeb's Helen Flanagan leaves viewers baffled as she didn't eat part of camp meal

Helen Flanagan left I'm A Celebrity viewers baffled as she refused to eat part of her camp meal.

The former soap star, 32, first appeared on the 2012 series and has returned to the ITV camp as part of the very first I'm a Celeb All Stars series in South Africa.

She has joined former campmates in a battle to be crowned an I'm A Celebrity Legend.

The proud mum-of-three is remembered for chickening out of the brutal and gruelling trails, but Helen has promised herself that this time around, she will be brave and face her fears no matter what.

Yet, the Coronation Street actress left fans scratching their heads over her meal choice rather than Bushtuker Trial abilities.

On Tuesday night, she declined the meat during dinner in camp.

One viewer wrote on Twitter : "Why isn’t Helen eating the meat? Is she vegetarian?"

Another questioned: "Is Helen vegetarian? She's not eating meat."

Helen previously told fans she's gone veggie after struggling with meat during her three pregnancies with children Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and two-year-old Charlie.

She said at the time: "Started to eat sausages (vegetarian I can't deal with meat - I had hyperemesis with each baby and I went off meat so much never really liked it before)."

The Rosie Webster actress said she received messages from other mums struggling.

She wrote: "Hyperemesis I get so many direct messages about ... I really struggled with it... mentally as well as it makes you feel so low.

"I hated not being able to look after my children when I was ill with Charlie. I would just constantly throw up even lights would make me feel sick and I stayed with my parents for about three months.

"I would defo say just get medical help. Medication can help that the doctors prescribe for hyperemesis. You have to rest and you have to help help x"

According to the NHS, some pregnant women experience very bad nausea and vomiting where they might be sick many times a day and be unable to keep food or drink down, which can impact on their daily life.

The excessive nausea and vomiting is known as hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), and often needs hospital treatment as unlike regular pregnancy sickness, HG may not get better by 16 to 20 weeks.

It's not known exactly what causes HG, or why some women get it and others do not but there is medication that can help improve symptoms.

As the opening I'm A Celeb episode aired, Helen and her daughter Matilda watched on as she overcame her fear of heights in a nerve-wracking trial.

Mum and daughter viewed the pre-recorded scene at home, with Helen telling her eldest: "Matilda, mummy was so scared, I did it because I didn't want you to be like 'mummy didn't do it', but honestly darling I was absolutely... I was so scared.

"I did it because I thought 'Matilda would want to watch me do this.'"

Helen shares her three children with ex husband Scott Sinclair, who were together for 13 years.
