I'm A Celebrity.... Get Me Out of Here! star Adam Thomas has reportedly signed up for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing after saying he wants to experience the show's "curse". The former Emmerdale actor, 34, is best known for appearing on the long-running ITV soap as Adam Barton, and is allegedly set to swap the Dales for the dancefloor later this year.
His reported signing to the legendary BBC ballroom competition comes after the soap star previously joked about wanting to experience the notorious "Strictly curse". In an interview with the Daily Mail last year, when asked about potentially being part of the show, Adam replied: "Bring it all on, I love a bit of glitz and glam.
"I was going to say something then, but it might get blown out of context… I just want to experience the Strictly curse."

Adam was evidently joking about wanting to be struck by the dreaded "Strictly curse", a phenomenon which sees celebrities and their Strictly pro partners ending up in a romatic relationship, often at the expense of their spouses or partners at home. The ex-Emmerdale star appears to be happily married to his wife of almost six years, Caroline, with whom he has two children, a son named Teddy and a daughter, Elsie-Rose.
Speaking to The Sun, an insider said: "After two decades on screen and, as one of the Thomas brothers, he instantly brings a huge fanbase. That’s what Strictly bosses love.
"Producers also see him as someone who can fill the young hunk role, which is important and often sees them pick soap stars."
Last year, Adam confessed that he was a little disappointed that he wasn't approached by ITV producers to star in the All Stars edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!. Pre-recorded in South Africa in September 2022, the series, which aired this spring, saw the likes of Clifton's Carol Vorderman, Helen Flanagan, and Amir Khan re-enter camp and take part in gruelling and gruesome challenges as they battled it out to become the first ever I'm A Celebrity Legend.
Adam appeared in the jungle back in 2016, finishing in third place to winner, former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt. In an interview with OK! magazine last year, he said: "The best of the best are going back, aren’t they?
"I mean, I don’t know why I didn’t get invited. I kept looking at my phone like, 'Where’s my call? Why have they not rung me?'"
